We had been managing our finances on our own, and at some point we realized that wasn’t going to cut it. We started talking to a traditional advisor that had been recommended, and after awhile they revealed their fee was 1.6% AUM (assets under management). That really adds up over time, so we started looking for a flat-fee advisory, which led us to Range.

Range was the first time our finances have been consolidated in one place, which has given us a much better idea of where we stand. It’s also led to more transparency and conversation about our finances.

We’ve been Range customers for almost a year now, and I have to say, the quality of the advice and plans has been excellent. We’ve already worked through our retirement plan, completed a cash flow analysis, and we worked with Range on our tax strategy this season, which went really well. Having consistent access to the advisor team means whenever we have a question, someone is there to help us out.

One specific example: my wife had an IRA account, previous 401ks and had been making post tax IRA contributions for awhile. We wanted to set up a Roth, but with all of our accounts and the requirements, it was pretty complex. The Range team has walked us step-by-step through getting this set up, which was really helpful.

Overall, Range has given us more clarity and confidence in our financial situation. We felt like we were in a pretty good place before—now we know. We found Range so helpful that we also gifted a Membership to my mother-in-law to help her get her finances in order and get a retirement plan worked out.
